About the Author
This picture was taken at the end of Christopher's solo sail from the UK to Belgium on board his Bavaria 350. He is now taking this boat down to the Mediterranean Sea with his wife and daughter.
Christopher Barr has been buying and selling boats for almost two decades.
He first started trading boats while he was the importer and sole distributor of a US based boat manufacturer for the entire territory of Italy.
Long factory lead times were not acceptable to some clients: used boats were purchased to bridge this gap.
Over the years, simple but extremely effective negotiation strategies were developed.
Christopher later started to share these strategies one-to-one with clients, helping them buy their boats at very significant discounts from their asking prices.
